Hopefully, your child had a great first day of school. If you ask them what they did in school today, , they will probably say "listen to rules." In actuality, they listened to the expectations in each area of the building. The Warrior Way of Respect, Responsibility and Safety was emphasized. We found that our discipline referrals decreased significantly when we reviewed the expectation early for the students. This is significant because if they aren't in the office, they are in class learning and that is what we want!
The major obstacle of today was the traffic and the dismissal of the students. One good thing with having things go wrong is that things can only get better! We will make a conscious effort to continue to work to put you child's safety first and create a better traffic pattern. Today, there was a communication problem and we left Bus 9 students in three of the rooms. We will take measures, so that does not happen again!
Otherwise, inside the building things went very well. Hopefully, the sun will shine tomorrow and we won't have to fight the rain. If you have any questions and/or concerns, please give me a call.
